Sounds familiar? You just bought new onsies and then your 'baby' shows interest for peeing on the pot (don't know if it's the correct English word in this context...). I did buy two new onsies for my son. And then he started to show interest for the pot. So, I went back to the shop, to buy underpants and undershirts. And the potty training could start.
Een van de rompers heeft hij één keer gedragen, de andere helemaal niet. Nu hij geen rompers meer draagt, kan hij wel een slaapT-shirt gebruiken. Dus besloot ik van de rompers T-shirts te maken. Ik pakte een T-shirt die hij nu draagt om te meten waar ik moest knippen.
One onsie he did wear once, the other one he didn't wear at all. Becouse he isn't wearing onsies anymore, he could use a T-shirt to sleep in. So I decided to make T-shirts out of the onsies. I took a T-shirt he wears now to find out where I had to cut.
Ik knipte zo'n 1,5 cm onder de rand van het andere T-shirt, voor de zoom.
I did cut about 1,5 underneath the the other T-shirt, to create a hem.
Vervolgens pakte ik mijn tweeling naald en twee klosjes garen. Ik dacht twee klosjes wit te hebben, maar ik had er maar één :(. Dus besloot ik één witte en één donkerblauwe te gebruiken en een spoeltje met wit garen. En zo naaide ik de zoom in het T-shirt. (Eén van de tutorials die er aankomen, is het naaien met een tweelingnaald)
After that I took my twin-neadle and two spools of thread. I thought I had two spools with wite yarn, but I only had one :(. So I decided to use one wite and one dark blue spool and a bobbin of white yarn. That's how I sewed the hem. (One of the tutorials which are comming up, is sewing with a twin-neadle)
En zo had de zoon er binnen een half uurtje twee T-shirts bij :)
This is how the son got two new T-shirts in half an hour :)
